Pre-Apprenticeship Pathway

Get your start in construction with foundational training designed for career explorers and those new to the industry.


What's Included:

  • Introduction to heavy equipment and construction safety
  • OSHA 10 certification
  • Hands-on equipment familiarization
  • Job readiness skills


Duration: 400 Hours
 

Ideal for: High school students/graduates, career changers, and those exploring construction careers

Registered Apprenticeship Pathway

Comprehensive training combining on-the-job experience with classroom instruction. Earn while you learn to operate a full range of heavy equipment.


What You'll Master:

  • Excavators, bulldozers, loaders, motor graders, and more
  • GPS and advanced equipment technology
  • Safety protocols and site management
  • Equipment maintenance and troubleshooting


Duration: 4000-6000 Hours (2-3 years)


Credentials Earned: DOL apprenticeship certificate of completion and industry-recognized operator credentials

    No prior experience is required. Our program is designed to take you from beginner to certified operator, regardless of your background.


    Apprentices start at competitive hourly wages with scheduled increases as you progress through training milestones and gain certifications.


    Our registered apprenticeship program is 4000-6000 hours. Pre-apprenticeship pathways are 400 hours. 


    Graduates have clear pathways to journeyman operator positions at Famco with continued career development opportunities and competitive benefits.
